DECEMBER 3

 December 3

It is hard to believe it is already December. We have ten days before winter break begins. We have had a busy end to November and continue cruising towards our break. 

Some highlights from the past few weeks:

- having our Substitute Teacher Ms. Lloyd

- creating stop motion videos about our animal lifecycles: Stay tuned for information about our movie premieres!!! 

- beginning addition

- introducing the rock cycle and the 3 types of rocks

- dance fitness in Phys. Ed

- practicing on Google Meet and Google Classroom: I encourage you to give it a try at home!


Important information

- conferences will be held as soon as conference manager becomes available. Thank you for your patience. Mr. Straiton will email parents as soon as you can book in. 

- Friday Dec. 4: Non-Instructional Day: no classes

- Monday Dec. 7: 3rd Spirit Day of Xmas - Make and wear snowflakes out of recycled paper (or wear white day)

- Tuesday Dec. 8: 4th Spirit Day of Xmas - Dress like your favourite character in Whoville

- Wednesday Dec. 9: 5th Spirit Day of Xmas - Dress as your favourite holiday or Xmas character

- Thursday Dec. 10: 6th Spirit Day of Xmas - Decorate your classroom door

- Friday Dec. 11: 7th Spirit Day of Xmas - Grades 3: wear green

- Monday Dec. 14: 8th Spirit Day of Xmas - Wear your ugly or seasonal sweater

- Tuesday Dec. 15: 9th Spirit Day of Xmas - Dress in western wear, plaid or flannel

- Wednesday Dec. 16: 10th Spirit Day of Xmas - wear red and or white

- Thursday Dec. 17: 11th Spirit Day of Xmas - wear your favourite fuzzy or fun socks

- Friday Dec. 18: 12th Spirit Day of Xmas - dress in your Hawaiian or vacation shirts

- Friday Dec. 19 to Jan. 3: Winter Break

- Monday Jan. 4: Classes begin (online from Jan 4 to 8)
